Product Description: A mascara that dramatically thickens lashes as it separates and defines. Smudge-proof and long-lasting.

My Experience: I was lucky enough to snag one of these in the Debenhams sale not too long ago. I’m forever searching for a mascara that fattens up my long, thin lashes. And this is a great mascara, one of the best I’ve used in a long time. I’m somewhat surprised, having never before purchased one from Elizabeth Arden. And I’ve used tons of mascaras. Tons. I’ll admit the only reason I purchased this was because I wanted a new mascara and it was greatly discounted, but I’m so glad I bought it! The packaging is slim and sleek, just how I like it (I have a particular aversion to fat and loudly-colored mascara packing). The wand is thick but not huge, so it’s very easy to work with. It’s not an overly wet formula, nor is it dry. Possibly the most impressive thing about this mascara is it’s ability to draw the lashes out into fluttery curls. I don’t even use an eye lash curler, that’s how good it is. Just one or two quick coats lifts my lashes into delicate butterfly’s wings that are perfect for daytime, and three coats thickens them for a more dramatic look. I’ve done three coats for the picture you see here: one or two coats will still give you the same length and curl, just not the maximum volume possible. I’ve not had any major problems with clumping and it holds a curl all day long. Also, I’ve had absolutely no flaking or smudging after a long day’s work. I’ve not tried to remove it with a cleanser, but it’s easy to remove with wipes and if you get a tiny glob of it on your skin, a gentle brush with your fingertip when it’s dried removes it without any staining or pulling at the skin. It’s a mascara that’s won awards, and I’m not surprised.

Note: I’ve not applied the mascara to my bottom lashes.

The Skinny: A smudge-proof, long-lasting mascara that volumizes and gives you beautifully fluttering lashes.
